Father's Day Gift Guide 2019 - for Dads who are Passionate about their Pastimes!

Father's Day- the day to celebrate, honor, and give something special to the Dads you know and love. You may have heard, or uttered, some of these statements in the weeks leading up to Father's Day in the past: What do you get for the guy who has everything? What do you get for the Dad who doesn't want anything? How many watches and wallets can one guy have? OK, so this year isn't going to be the year of the new boat - what else can we get him? Whiskey & Electronics - heck yah- but what else can we...

Reduce, Reuse, Re-CYCLE!

What do you get when you mix recycling, wheels and philanthropy? A rolling recycling bin for charity events? No - actually, a great community effort, called the Madison Bike Swap, spearheaded by my good friend Lisa Moro. Lisa has been running the bike swap for 11 years in our town of Madison NJ, giving neighbors a home for the bikes they have outgrown, and providing bikers with a bike to call their own. Q&A with the Disc Golf Girl Disc Golf- what’s it all about? I am the first to admit that by blogging about a sport, you should probably know about that sport, right? Oops- I don’t. But I still think it’s cool, and I wanted to learn more about it. And what's cooler than getting to interview a talented and spunky disc golf playing gal?  The inspiration for the Bunkybee blog has been to focus on people who have a special passion for their recreational pastime. I'm psyched to share this Q&A session with disc golfer Casey. Photo courtesy of the_discgolfgirl My...

A Passion for Pickleball - Q&A with Pickleball Palace Founders

PICKLEBALL PALACE IS PASSIONATE ABOUT…PICKLEBALL!  Bunkybee loves to hear about people passionately pursuing their favorite recreational activities, and we hope that you are inspired by reading about them too! This Q&A session highlights two skilled pickleball players, Sari & Rebecca. Pickleball is America's fastest growing sport, and the pickleball-playing duo realized that with this growing interest in the sport, there weren’t enough places to play in their area. Their company, Pickleball Palace, operates in Chatham, Livingston & Roseland, NJ, and is successfully building interest in the game and bringing pickleball to more people by offering open plays, open houses, sponsored events, clinics, lessons and more.  My family has enjoyed playing pickleball, after being introduced to...
